Green Valley Baptist Church Library

 The Green Valley Baptist Church Library is an asset for all church members. It has more than 7000 items cataloged--books, videos, tapes, etc.--for study, reference, Christian education, and reading for pleasure and recreation. There is a large children's collection, materials for teens, and books (including Christian fiction) that challenge the adult mind. A large study area contains many Bible aids, commentaries, and reference works for the teacher and student alike. There are computers with software that provides multiple translations and versions or the Bible and other materials to assist in understanding and appreciating God's word. The volunteer staff is ready to assist you in locating items you need. Library hours are limited at present because the staff is small. Additional volunteers are solicited and will be provided pertinent training. We would like to make the Library available weekdays on a regular basis to as many people as possible, so if you feel led to be a part of this ministry please contact the church office at 822-2173. 

Library Hours

The Church Library is open on Sunday morning from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. and 11:30 A.M. until Noon. On Sunday evening it is open from 5:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. On Wednesday the hours are 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. For access at other times, please contact the Church office at 822-2173.

Library Catalog Automation

The Green Valley Church Library catalog is slowly being automated. At present, approximately 2500 items have been entered into the system. We need volunteers who can come a few hours each month and assist in inputting the balance of the collection into the Concourse Library Management System which we use.
